Large Vestibule Arrangement
Project Name
Scandinavian-Style Home Interior Project
As an architect, I view the vestibule not merely as a passageway but as the prologue to your home story, setting the tone for the entire residence. In this Scandinavian–style home interior project, we faced the distinct challenge of a long, narrow geometry, which we successfully transformed into a visual asset through thoughtful planning and optical precision. The photo captures the essence of a large vestibule arrangement where every line, texture, and reflection has been calculated to maximize the perception of space. The most striking feature visible is undoubtedly the large wall mirror, strategically positioned to reflect ambient light and optically double the width of the corridor. This eliminates any feeling of confinement often found in traditional hallways, creating a welcoming atmosphere immediately upon entering. We utilized a palette of natural woods and crisp whites to maintain the bright and airy aesthetic characteristic of Nordic design, ensuring the space feels clean yet inviting. It is a prime example of how modern entryway design can dictate the mood of the residence, inviting guests into a world of order and tranquility.
From a technical perspective, correcting the proportions of a narrow room requires a mastery of visual weight and perspective. In this project, we implemented a bold conceptual solution by painting a section of the ceiling black. This dark accent visually lowers the ceiling in that specific zone, effectively breaking the tunnel effect and adding a layer of modern architectural character. Furthermore, the concept of invisible storage was paramount to the functionality of this space. The built–in wardrobe fronts were manufactured using the exact same material as the adjacent wall cladding. This camouflage technique allows for massive storage capacity for coats and shoes without visual clutter, maintaining the minimalist interior design ethos. It demonstrates how custom furniture design integrates seamlessly with architecture to solve functional problems.
